Migrate your UAF.EDU account to your new ALASKA.EDU account

On 14 April 2009, UAF Office of Information Technology began consolidating UAF and Statewide email services into Google Apps @ UA. All accounts must be migrated to Gmail by the end of 2009. This page is designed to help you in the transition.

The main Google Apps @ UA site can be found at https://www.alaska.edu/google/ (see the screenshot below). An alias to this page is google.alaska.edu. On this page, there is a lot of information about Google Apps in general and Gmail in particular, including News and Information, and FAQs. You can log in from this page by clicking on the mail icon.

The pilot testing phase is now over, and all UAF and Statewide email users can opt-in to the new mail system when they are ready. To begin the process, and for more information, go to https://www.alaska.edu/google/opt-in/ (you will need to know your UAusername and Password). If you have questions, call the OIT Support Center at 450-8300.

Once you have your new email address, please use the Submit Bio form (www.iab.uaf.edu/facstaff/submitbio.php) so that we can update the IAB database.
